HigginBotham Retains The Chairman Seat Of Hillsborough County Republican Executive Committee!

.

Unanimous acclaim made it a slam dunk election for Higginbotham to retake the seat as chairman.

In October of 2003 Al campaigned on a platform for restoring unity and increasing membership, passing a budget, bringing financial stability to the Executive Committee and getting Republicans elected.

.

"The last 13 months have presented many challenges for all of us.  However, working together we have made history in Hillsborough County.

Working together we proved to be the effective backbone for the campaigns here in Hillsborough County.

.

Through an aggressive recruiting campaign, headed by David Storck, we are now recognized as the largest REC in the State.

.

On January 20, 2004 we passed a budget and raised money, beginning with our Lincoln Day Dinner and our efforts continue today.  We have raised over $195,000 and have more than $35,000 in reserves.

.

We made history at the polling place on November 2nd."

Al

.

Mr. Higginbotham, to what do you credit such a victorious win in the elections that just passed?

.

"Team working and sharing a common vision, working together we won in November.  We had strong leadership with the President and people pooled together."

.

"There is no one person that I could honestly say caused our success, it was a collective effort."

.

Even though the polls showed a neck and neck race, to what do you attribute the President retaking the Presidency as the most popular President in history?

.

"I personally did not believe the polls.  I give all the credit to the workers.  And we had quality candidates on the ticket beginning with the President.  We out worked and out shined the opposition, and because of the volunteers, we had a better operation."

.

"We have established a fantastic support team and it is getting stronger everyday.  In the next two years we are building an unbeatable team.  If they thought they had a challenge just wait and see what they will be up against the next time around."

.

.

Congratulating

.

David Storck Wins Seat Unanimously

.

Mr. Storck how do you feel about the election:

"This is definitely a culmination of a great year.  I look forward to working with Al and the rest of the board for a great next 2 years!"

PARTY

.

Party after the election: fantastic food, great people, a nice way to end an evening.

Jennifer Motsinger won her seat back as recording secretary with no opposition and Tom Rocky also won his seat as Treasurer with no opposition.
